Spent 6 hours from Osooyoos to Vernon this am with Doug Brown.
70 species but some very interesting ones for me.

Black-necked Stilt -5
Avocet -about 50
Wilson's Phalarope -2
Solitary S/piper - 5
Least S/p, 10+/- all at Alki Lk as previously reported. Some of the
lower mainland birders may not know that you are allowed to go into the dump
site through the main entrance, rather than looking from the road.

100's of warblers, mostly Yellow-rumped, but a few Wilson's, Townsend's,
Orange Crowned ...
to name a few.

A practice run for the "Big Day at the Meadowlark Festival".
Hope there is a good turnout for all the excellent work by the many
volunteers at the Festival.

The last 2 times I have gone to Osooyoos it snowed (search for White headed
Wd. - not seen) or rained (today), they may not want me back for the
festival!
