April 29, 2001, Sunday, 9:15 p.m. Hi, this is Steve Mlodinow. This morning Dennis Duffy and I birded the Skagit Game Range. Had a WHITE-
THROATED SPARROW there. Then we were joined by Greg Toffic and went up to the Rockport area of Skagit County. Off Martin Road, we had a very
cooperative and calling DUSKY FLYCATCHER, which is very early for Western Washington and two NASHVILLE WARBLERS. At Barnaby Slough
nearby, we had another NASHVILLE WARBLER. That's it, good luck and good birding.

April 26, Thursday, 7:50 p.m. Hi, Tom Aversa at 206-782-7342. Just wanted to report an early WESTERN TANAGER today from Seattle.

April 25, Wednesday, 8:18 p.m. Hi, this is Stephen Mlodinow. Tom Aversa and I did the Skagit-Whidbey loop. Had 131 species. Highlights included two
BLACK-NECKED STILTS and an AMERICAN AVOCET at the northeast corner of Crockett Lake. Otherwise, the most interesting bird was an early
WESTERN WOOD PEWEE at the Skagit Game Range and about 20 or 30 WHITE FRONTED GEESE there. A fair paserine movement at the Game
Range today with 10 or so WILSON'S WARBLERS, 20 to 30 ORANGE CROWNS and 100-plus YELLOW RUMPS split about evenly between MYRTLE
and AUDUBON. That's about it, good luck and good birding.

April 25, Wednesday, 9:04 a.m. This is Vic Nelson. Today at Point No Point at the northeast tip of the Kitsap Peninsula, I had one WESTERN
KINGBIRD, one YELLOW HEADED BLACKBIRD, and 10 AMERICAN PIPPITS. Also I saw 20 or 30 SAVANNAH SPARROWS around. Yesterday,
there was also one YELLOW-HEADED BLACKBIRD here and about 24 STELLER'S JAYS down around the lighthouse. Thank you.

April 23, Monday, 2:42 p.m. My name's Allison Farnsworth. 425-882-3478, live in Redmond. Today I saw a BEWICK'S WREN and a BROWN
CREEPER, PILEATED WOODPECKERS, and RED HEADED SAPSUCKER, and I also have here the HAIRY WOODPECKER, the DOWNY
WOODPECKER, the WHITE-HEADED WOODPECKER, BUSHTITS, the WHITE-CROWNED SPARROW, BLACK-CAPPED CHICKADEES,
NORTHERN BOBWHITE, HERMIT THRUSH, LEWIS WOODPECKER, MAGNIFICENT HUMMINGBIRD, the CHICKADEES-the CHESTNUT-BACKED
CHICKADEE, the MOUNTAIN CHICKADEE, BLACK-CAPPED CHICKADEE. I think I said NORHTERN FLICKER, and saw another bird, I don't even
know what it is. Looks like a cross between a ROBIN and a NORTHERN FLICKER and they were together. Male ROBIN and this bird--looked like they
were crossed. And I've got a picture of it. I have a picture of all these, matter of fact. Also, I have a nesting LONG-EARED OWL.
