On July 31 and August 1 there were six BLACK SWIFTS flying over
the Steigerwald Lake N.W.R. near Washougal, in Clark County, WA. These
birds were visible from Highway 14 while parked at the future entrance
road just East of Gibbons Creek. In the marsh there was a single Great
Egret and one American Bittern.
