Hi, Tweets

This is a forward from Michelle Blanchard, who works at Ft. Lewis,
concerning the peregrine (etc.) at Madigan Hospital. There was a problem
getting this message through, but Michelle tells me the peregrine is still
there and looking good!

>Today, 31 July 01 0700, I saw the Peregrine Falcon
>(reported by Rolan Nelson)roosting on the nursing tower
>of Madigan Hospital, Ft. Lewis. As Rolan said, it's right
>on the North/East corner of the building, overlooking one
>of the duck ponds. It seemed to be deciding what it would
>have for breakfast..duck? or pigeon?
>Dave Clouse, the post biologist, said he saw it last
>week, eating what he thought was a pigeon.

>The easiest spot to see it is from the CL1 parking lot.
>That's in the main Medical Mall parking lot, all the way
>to the left, and close to the tower, near the bus stop.
>This gives you a shot of the corner of the tower, where
>the falcon seems to like to perch.
>
>By the way, about a block from the hospital and just
>behind the shoppette is a tall Doug fir snag..there's
>usually at least one and sometimes two bald eagles
>perched at the top.
