Kind of slow at the South Jetty with a pretty good fog
(visibility < 500m) and a stiff southwind.

Black-bellied Plover 2
Whimbrel 1
Western Sandpiper 62 (50% juveniles)
Least Sandpiper 17 (all juveniles)

I also saw a dark colored sparrow/finch with a white
terminal band on the tail and indistinct, light colored wing
markings and a largish bill. It made a single, light "wik"
call note. It flew up from the edge of the built up berm
that forms the old roadway between the big pond and the jetty
and landed in the Salicornia. Then it flew up from there
into the beach grass dune and I lost it.

Best tentative guess... female Lark Bunting

Mike Patterson Alas, to wear the mantle of Galileo,
Astoria, OR it is not enough to be persecuted
celata at pacifier.com by an unkind establishment,
you must also be right.
