After hearing about the Solitary Sandpiper at the Fill yesterday, I
decided to try and find it. So today my Dad and I went on a little bike
excursion, via the Blue Angels, to try and find this SOSA. At the large
pond, 10 LONG-BILLED DOWITCHERS, 3 WESTERN SANDPIPERS, and a very cooperative
SOLITARY SANDPIPER foraged along the bank. Also at the pond after further
inspection was a SPOTTED SANDPIPER. A rewarding day at the Fill!

Good birding!
