The Olive-sided Fly & other passerines were at Washtuccna Aug 4.
After much effort to make sure it was an Olive-sided, it did several calls!
(Why didn't you do that in the first place!?)
2 (not) Solitary Sandpipers were at Wastuccna Aug 4. They acted like they
were still up north with much wing displaying & tail fanning.
2 Solitary SP were near Othello Aug 5.
2 Peregrine Falcons were circling over Cow Lake Aug 4. They did some
interchanging so assumed a pair. They went north which seemed noteworthy.
About 25 Dowitchers were at a private Othello pond Aug 5. Most were adult
Long-billed.
At least one was juv Short-billed (chestnut in tertials noted).
At least one was juv Long-billed.
The 2 juv Bonaparte's Gulls were at Othello's Para Ponds Aug 5.
Saw about 20 Lesser & 10 Greater Yellowlegs this weekend.
No Stilt Sandpipers despite much looking.
Only about 10 Least SP seen. All at Othello Aug 5.
No Western or Bairds SP noted.
Still some Wilson's Phalaropes, Black-necked Stilts & Avocets around.
Curlews are likely gone.
Cow Lake is showing much mud, but most is private property.
Not as many shorebirds there as we expected.
Sprague Lake hasn't dropped as much.
Still over 100 White Pelicans there.

Most pleased to add a Grey Catbird on our Cheney yard list today!
Good Birding,
