Footnotes:

[1] Almost sure I had a fledge up in the tree waiting to be fed.
The beak was unmistakeable. Pale spots on breast and brown
crown. Very pale coloring at this point.
[2] First one I've ever seen. I was sure they were around, but
never had seen them before.
[3] Hadn't seen one since May!
[4] Both male and female hanging around the feeders, but they never
partake.
[5] First of the year. Just saw a female checking out the cascara
berries. The last few years they nested here, but haven't seen
them this year. Hope to see a male before they travel.
[6] Three youngsters scrounging around under one of the feeders.
[7] Lots of these around this year...Males, females and babies.
[8] Our group of twenty or so are still around eating me out of
house and home, bathing in the birdbath as often as they can.
[9] These birds are just awesome. We have a male, female and fledge
feasting on cascara berries. The baby sounds so forlorn the dad
came over and fed it several times. They don't scare easy as
they were just about 15-20 feet from us all day.

Total number of species seen: 18
