August 7, 12:44 AM - This is Rachel Lawson (206) 282-5593. The PACIFIC
GOLDEN PLOVER that was reported yesterday by Steven Mlodinow is still
present at the Samish Flats. I found it this afternoon in the same place
which is one the Bayview Edison Road just north of Darcy Road, on the west
side of the road, in the weedy half of the field between the white house and
the red barn. It was associating with some KILDEER. That's it. Good Birding.

August 9, 5:36 PM - This is Steven Mlodinow. Today at the Snohomish sewage
pond where there is now good shorebird habitat there was a SEMI-PALMATED
SANDPIPER and a WILSON'S PHALAROPE. That's it. Good birding.

August 10, 8:28 AM - This is Tom Aversa, reporting for yesterday, August 9,
from Kititas County. Up the Taneum Creek Road just before the 7.5 mile
marker there is a clearcut, or it's an almost clearcut at least. There was
male BLACK-BACKED WOODPECKER in that clearcut. Also a flock of about close
to fifty migrant COMMON NIGHTHAWKS flying overhead.
