Kevin and Tweeters:
I have to disagree about whether or not a public forum such as Tweeters is
not also a political forum. All the public issues we discuss here in Tweeter
land that effect birding and the environment are all controlled by politics
and politicians.As long as the political issues brought up are related to
birding I feel they should be fair game for discussion regardless who it may
"offend".I know a lot of birders like to think of birding as simply a
relaxing "hobby" and are uncomfortable dealing with any controversy that
might upset the the peace and quiet. But you can't bird with your head in
the sand, and some politicians are a direct threat to the future of birds
and bird habitat.
So Kevin, please don't apologies for your email address or your political
views. Besides your email address is unfortunately a FACT not just a
political view.
