Todd Thornton (his computer is still down) reports the
following from the Necanicum Estuary this afternoon:

Snowy Plover 1
Whimbrel 1
Western Sandpiper 8
Semipalmated Sandpiper 2
Least Sandpiper 22
Sanderling 15

A BAIRD'S SANDPIPER was seen yesterday.

The SNOWY PLOVER was probably a juvenile (though Todd did not
get close enough to rule out basic plumage, it seems early for
that) and had no band.

Mike Patterson Alas, to wear the mantle of Galileo,
Astoria, OR it is not enough to be persecuted
celata at pacifier.com by an unkind establishment,
you must also be right.
