At the USFS/NPS visitor information center on the west outskirts of
Winthrop, there are beautiful mounts of both Lynx and Bobcat virtually
side-by-side, allowing for wonderful comparision. What totally blew me away
were the fantastically "oversized" puddy paws of the Lynx, veritable
snowshoes!

For me, an opportunity to study these mounts there is one of Winthrops (city
proper) more memorable attributes, especially in the touristy summer season
when the place gets to be a zoo.
