As Stuart MacKay already mentioned there were several Baird's Sandpipers at the fill this evening. A group of us were birding the fill from about 4-5:30. The Baird's were not present when we first arrived around 4 pm, but a maximum of 4 birds were seen. We missed the spotted sandpiper, but there were also at least two Western Sandpipers present during our visit. Its nice to see the fill getting some decent shorebirds over the last couple of days, suppose they came for the AOU conference too? :)
