Time for true confessions: We have been raising nuthatches in our yard
for two years now and never gave them much thought until today. We knew
they were not red breasted so I just assumed "white breasted." Until
today, that is, when a real white-breasted showed up alongside the pygmy
nuthatches and I could see the stark contrast. Well, I won't make that
mistake again. :-)
