Banding Report for Ft Stevens Banding Station
Ft Stevens St Pk, Clatsop Co. OR
16 Aug 2001

Method: Up to eight 9m mist nets are placed in perpendicular
sets in willow wetland habitat near the South Jetty of the
Columbia River. Captured birds are measured, ringed with
USBBL numbered metal bands and released. Data on time of
capture and side of net captured are also recorded to gain
an understanding of movements through the area.

Notes: This was the first day of the fall migration effort.
Weather was cool with 100% relative humidity. All but one
new capture (adult SWAINSON'S THRUSH) were hatch-year birds.
All the SWAINSON'S THRUSHES were pooping BLACK TWINBERRY and
blackberry sp.
