Yesterday while engaged in a volunteer program on Semiahmoo Spit I noticed
a considerable number of herons (during a minus 2.4 or so low tide), and
driving home saw a large group, easily 50 or more, congregated around a few
of the large boulders on the south side of the harbor. It may not be that
unusual but was still quite a sight.
