Hi all,
Not to beat a dead horse about the fill shorebirds, but we had a very good one on the Saturday morning AOU birdwalk that I thought it should be mentioned. A Black-bellied Plover was observed flying over the fill calling about 7:00 am Saturday morning. It never landed but was loosely associating with a flock of 12-15 smaller shorebirds, likely peeps that also flew from the south to the north without stopping. These birds were at a height of 100-150 feet up.
