Falklands Conservation (UK registered charity and a Limited Company) is
looking to recruit a Marine Observer from September/October 2001. The
position will involve quantifying the levels of seabird by-catch in trawl
and longline fisheries in Falkland Islands waters; participating in seabird
and cetacean surveys from Fishery Patrol Vessels operating in Falkland
Island waters and general database maintenance and report writing duties.
The position may also involve assisting FC staff with other projects when
necessary. The position is based in Stanley for a period of 9 months to a
year.
