Tweeters,

I will be spending the first week of September in the western part of the state. I'm going to be looking for birds that are only found on the west side of the state, as I've only birded Eastern Washington. I'm interested in seeing migrating shorebirds and seabirds. I would also like to find a spotted owl, western screech owl, or acorn woodpecker (apparently they're seen near Lyle). Can anybody help me with locations as to where I should look for these species and other birds of the west side of the state? I also plan on spending a great deal of time at Ocean Shores, as this seems to be a prime shorebird spot. If anybody would like to join me at Ocean Shores during September 5-7 that would be great, as I've never looked for shorebirds before (except in Eastern Washington) and could probably use some help. Thanks.
