Dear bird lovers, fellow coffee drinkers and friends of coffee drinkers,

Perhaps you've noticed the recent flurry of media coverage
surrounding sustainable coffee issues, including 'shade coffee' - coffee
that is grown under a canopy of trees which provide important habitat for
migratory birds in Mexico and Central America.

Today (Friday) at 5pm, KOMO radio (on your AM dial- 1000) will
feature a 1 hour radio interview with Seattle Audubon's Helen Ross and
Danny O'Keefe who will be talking about shade and sustainable coffee. There
will be a chance to call in, if you are inclined. Tune in to learn more
about coffee grown in the shade and what YOU can do to help promote
sustainable coffees.
