Method: 30 minute (timed) station count from observation deck at
Ecola Point using 20x60 Bushnell spotting scope and 8x50 Bushnell
binoculars. Birds were sorted as to flyby, sitting rocks, sitting
on ocean.

NOTES: The seas are still running pretty high from the series of
storms that have been hitting the coast. A MARBLED MURRELET flew
in and sat on the water just beyond "the teeth" to other murrelets
(probably ANCIENT MURRELETS) were further out. There was a big
raft of WESTERN GULLS sitting on the ocean just outside the
breakers. Less surprising were the groups of WESTERN and GLAUCOUS-
WINGS along the leaward cliff coming in on the trail. An adult
PEREGRINE FALCON was perched on the big murre rock throughout
the observation period.
