GRAYS HARBOR CBC

Seasons Greetings to All Birders,

The Grays Harbor Christmas Bird Count is being held on Saturday, December
15th this year. We are looking for fellow birders to join us for a day of
exciting birding in Ocean Shores and Westport. Birders of all skill levels
are welcome.

The Grays Harbor count consistently records unusual birds including
Short-tailed Shearwater and Northern Fulmar (last year) with previous
highlights of Snowy Owl, Gyrfalcon, 4 species of loon, Pomarine Jaeger,
Glaucous Gull, and even an Ivory Gull.

We can not promise these birds this year, but part of the fascination is
that you never know what will turn up. Come join us and share in the
excitement.

Please contact me at rwmorse at attbi.com or call 360-943-8600 for further
details.

P.S. The team led by Bob Sundstrom and Scott Horton, covering the Ocean
Shores jetty, game range, and Damon Point (arguably the best spot in the
count) needs more birders.
