Looking up is a problem. I have Varilux trifocals. When I have my binocs
aimed high in the trees, I tend to end up looking through the middle part
that is better for computer screen distance. But what to do! If I get a
pair of glasses just for distance, I can't read the field guides when I need
to. And I spend 95% of my day on the computer at work, so I need it all.
That surgery is looking better all the time. Even if I have to wear glasses
to read, it would be wonderful to have far and mid range with just my
eyes. And it would be great with binoculars, too.

If you have the money it might be wise to get a simple inexpensive pair of
glasses just for distance. Use these for birding and the others for the rest
of life.

Take care,
Nancy
