If you have mild astigmatism, you're probably better off removing your glasses. The binos can't correct for astigmatism, so if you have severe astigmatism (which I do), you're better off wearing the glasses.

I have Varilux bifocals. I've never had the "lined" kind, so I can't compare the two. The Varilux took some getting used to. When I first started wearing them, they made me feel a little queasy for a few days, but I never noticed any problems with using binos.
