Steve,
We had a leucistic junco somewhat similar to the one in your photo at our
West Seattle yard for two years, although "ours" had more of the white
concentrated on the head. I have slides of it. I look at thousands of
juncos every year and see relatively few leucistic birds, while wintering
"Sooty" Fox Sparrows seem to show this at a considerably higher rate in my
subjective sample.
