Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This
report was made Thursday December 6. If you have anything to add call

A female DICKCISSEL is now coming to a White City feeder. It first
arrived December 1.

The Canby CASSIN'S KINGBIRD continues to be seen. A BLACK-AND-WHITE
WARBLER watched for over a week in North Portland was found dead December
4.

The REDPOLL invasion continues. A flock of 50 is now in Bend. On December
1 four were at Hood River and one was at a Chiloquin feeder. Up to four
are being seen at Oaks Bottom in Portland.

Two LONG-TAILED DUCKS are now at Yaquina Bay. A SOUTH POLAR SKUA was off
Boiler Bay December 2. A HARRIS'S SPARROW and two WHITE-THROATED SPARROWS
are now coming to a Toledo feeder. A TURKEY VULTURE was over Warrenton
November 29.

Small groups of WHITE PELICANS are still being seen in the Sauvie
Island/Ridgefield NWR area. A few BLACK-CROWNED NIGHT-HERONS are now back
at their winter roost in North Portland. A female GREATER SCAUP was at
Westmoreland Park in Portland December 3. That day a flock of SANDHILL
CRANES was over Oaks Bottom and later over West Linn.

A flock of 35 BONAPARTE'S GULLS and over 50 DOUBLE-CRESTED CORMORANTS
were at flooded Fernhill Wetlands December 2. A SWAMP SPARROW was at
Jackson Bottom in Hillsboro November 30.

The Baskett Slough NWR BURROWING OWL and the three TREE SPARROWS are
still being seen. Four COMMON GOLDENEYE were at the Monmouth Sewage Ponds
November 30. Five SPOTTED SANDPIPERS and an EARED GREBE were at the
Independence Sewage Ponds the same day. A RED-BREASTED MERGANSER was at
Ankeny NWR November 30. A ROSS'S GOOSE was there December 4.

A TREE SPARROW was in the Coffin Butte Tract of the EE Wilson SWA
December 2. Five TURKEY VULTURES are still being seen at Fern Ridge
Reservoir.

An immature BLACK-LEGGED KITTIWAKE and a PACIFIC LOON were at John Day
Dam December 1.
