A non-birding friend reported a Chukar in her yard in Silver Lake, just
south of Everett. I was thinking that it was in fact a California Quail,
until she produced photos to confirm the ID. I presume this is an escaped or
released bird, but still it is an interesting sighting. Have wild Chukar
ever been sighted this side of the mountains?
