A RED-SHOULDERED HAWK was at the Astoria Mitigation Bank
this morning. It was seen in a small snag along the back
edge of the Canary Grass opening on the east side of the
sparrow road. A noisy SWAMP SPARROW was in the same area.

The male BARROW'S GOLDENEYE continues to be seen in front
of the Astoria Dairy Queen. A male COMMON GOLDENEYE was
also hanging out there this morning.

A very grey ORANGE-CROWNED WARBLER was at King Avenue
yesterday. This brings the total OCWA number at King
Avenue up to at least 4 recognisable individuals.

Those of you who buy Oregon State Park day use permits
may be interested to know that they are on sale for the
month of December. A 2-year permit is going for $40.00
and an additional $5.00 will get you one for a second car.
