The final count for Columbia Estuary was 101 species with
14 additional count week species (assuming I don't find
any more tomorrow).
Best birds include a ROSS' GOOSE at Sunset Lake (presumably
the same one that wintered last year), RED PHALAROPES at
Ft Stevens and on Wireless Rd and TENNESSEE WARBLER at
Astoria Sewage Ponds.
Obviously, the weather played a big part in the low numbers.
Raptors were particularly difficult as were mid-sized passerines.
We did surprisingly well with sparrows and warblers though
more Orange-crowns were see than Yellow-rumps.
