Staples today is advertising a pair of Cobra 2-way FRS radios with
rechargeable batteries and charger, for $40 after $20 mail-in rebate. That
seems awfully inviting, as a present for my two children, with me to "borrow"
on an as-needed basis. The ad doesn't seem to give a model number, and I
cannot tell whether the radios have the subcodes. Two questions:

Has anybody used whatever Cobra model this is, and found them lacking
annoying features?

Is the 11-22 frequency available on those GMRS models which have a five mile
range, but don't have the full selection of FRS frequencies?
