I know this thread has been on Tweeters before but I did not pay any
attention. Sorry. A cousin is planning to make several bird houses and
would like to know the dimensions of the entry hole. If she would like to
deter starlings from nesting in her boxes, how small should the hole be? If
she would like to deter house sparrows from nesting in her boxes, how small
should the hole be? Chickadees, nuthatches, and bush tits would be nice. Is
there any way to encourage them to nest in a homemade home?
Please answer privately so as not to annoy uninterested Tweeters.
