Ed and Tweets,

Janet and I visited Spencer Island yesterday about 1pm. About half way up
(north) on the trail we took a side trail that went about 100 yards
towards the center. There we enjoyed a PINE SISKIN, about 6 COMMON
REDPOLLS (lifer's for us), one of which looked *frosty*, RUBY and
GOLD-CROWNED KINGLETS, PILEATED, HAIRY, and DOWNY WOODPECKERS,
GOLDFINCHES, GOLD-CROWNED, SONG, and LINCOLN'S SPARROWS.

On another side trail at the "S" turn farther north about 40 yards in we
encountered a flock of about 3 dozen COMMON REDPOLLS.

Later while completing the loop we saw a REDTAILED HAWK, several NORTHERN
HARRIERS, and a PEREGRINE FALCON which was disrupting a large flock of
GREEN-WINGED TEAL.

All in all a *great* Christmas afternoon of birding for us.
