Subject: Black-shouldered kite

Bob,

I was on the coast today looking for snowshoe hares, and came across a
black-shouldered kite working a field just outside Ilwaco. It was on
the south side of Chinook Valley Rd., a mile or so west of the junction
with Chinook Dike Rd. I've never seen a b-s kite this far north, but
then again I don't get out to the coast once in a blue moon. Anyhow, I
thought I'd let you know in case there is any interest in the birding
community.

I hope you got plenty of opportunity to enjoy all this nice weather!
