Howdy,

Saw him this morning at about 8:30, then later right about noon. Still looks healthy, but tends to stay away from the suet feeder if one of the Downy Woodpeckers is there. Heard he was also seen at Richards' around 11:00 am.

Lots of traffic at the feeder today, lots of Goldfinches, Chickadees, House Finches, and House Sparrows. The White-breasted Nuthatch made at least one appearance, as well as a several Redpolls. A Coopers Hawk created a stir when it nailed a quail and decided to rest in a nearby tree. I'm deferring to someone else's id on the hawk, not sure I would have said Coopers from what I saw.

I enjoyed all the visitors today, hope it continues. It's fun having people from all over come by, I'm really enjoying the chance to meet all you dedicated birders. Don't hesitate to knock and say hi, we don't mind, and don't consider it an intrusion. All for now.
