>From 0900-1330 hrs, Evan (8), Naomi (6), and I birded Douglas County.
All waterfowl seen were in the Columbia River between Orondo and
Rock Island Dam. LOGGERHEAD SHRIKES, GOLDEN EAGLES, HORNED LARKS,
and other sitings were on the Palisades Rd/Waterville loop
(Palisades/Highway 2) east and north of Rock Island Dam. Both kids
were intent on birding at least 90% of the time (other 10% spent
wrestling in the back seat). The kids spotted 2 of the eagles and at
least one of the shrikes, and MANY of the ravens (good Raven Spotters)
