Today while participating in the Padilla Bay CBC I hear what sounded like a
Pacific-Slope Flycatcher's "wolf whistle" call. It was in a residential
area that had lots of lawns, shrubs, and evergreen trees. I heard the bird
make that sound only once, and it came from up fairly high in an evergreen.
Now, I know the chances are remote that it was actually a PSFL. Who else
makes calls that could be mistaken for that bird?
