A quick note to all of you out there that the Edmonds
CBC did very well today with a preliminary total of
127 species. Highlights included a LARK SPARROW on
Marsh Road, just as the road makes the first curve
south of its intersection with Larimer Road, between
Everett and Snohomish. The other major highlight was
a juvenile Gyrfalcon on the Snohomish River Road,
about 1.5 miles north of Snohomish. As far as I know,
the bird on the Snohomish/Monroe highway was not
observed (we tried for it and missed it). This is a
different bird, as determined by slightly different
coloration (more brownish and less silver).

More details on both of these birds will follow
shortly.
