This morning at the LHG in Bellevue I saw a hybrid Eurasian x American
Wigeon. It was in among about 60 American Wigeon. It had the reddish-brown
head, but with the AMWI green patch on the side of the face, and a creamy,
rather than white, crown. This is the first hybrid wigeon I have seen there
in 10 years. I have never seen a pure Eurasian Wigeon there.
