Hello Greg and Tweeters,
I must certainly believe that this bird sighted on the Midway Beach is the
same bird what is now in California sighted by David Lauten.If you would
never saw a Mongolian or a Sandplover it would be verry hard to say, also in
winter plumage.We did not know how close he saw this bird.We would find out
sure, if David saw this Sandplover on the Internet for identification.Maybe
some one like Mikel Patterson can arrange for David to see the photo on the
internet.It would be nice to count this bird for our State.This been a verry
hot season for RARE SPECIES..

I wonder if this is the same plover that Dave Lauten reported as having been
sighted amid snowy plovers and identified as a Mongolian plover, at Midway
Beach last month.
