Well guess what?! The Everett Herald picked up the article and printed it in
today's paper.
Maybe the Seattle Times/P.I could take some lessons from a much closer
newspaper. You can see it again (if you like) at www.heraldnet.com

I'm happy that we bird watchers are becoming more respected in our
passion/hoby.
