Thank you to everyone that responded to my query about yellow House
Finches. This little guy was definitely a House Finch and he was
decidedly yellow. Like most of you, I've seen House Finches in almost
every conceivable shade between red and pale orange, but not usually
in yellow. The Sibley guide indicates yellow, while not rare is
uncommon, but that it is more common in the southwest. Thanks again
for your responses.
