My none birder brother is staying at Kingston and called me the other
night to tell me there are some birds flying around at night by where
he is staying.

Here is his description:

The birds were smaller then a robin. They had "dagger" like wings. He
said the wings were long and narrow and came to a sharp point. The
beak was short. The tail came to a point. The color (via a street
light) was mostly dark with maybe some brown. The call notes were four
notes with the first one being more drawn out.

My first thought was swallow or swift, but isn't it way early for
them?

Please reply to tweeters with any suggestions. Thanks
