Sorry for the delay. Here's a report from my trip to Nisqually NWR this past
Saturday, 11:00-15:00.

It was a particularly good day for raptors. The portion of the trail between
Ring Dike and the observation tower had the highest concentration with the
following:

RED-SHOULDERED HAWK - 1 imm
"HARLAN'S" HAWK - 1 adult
RED-TAILED HAWK - 1 imm
PEREGRINE FALCON - 1 imm
COOPER'S HAWK 1 adult
ROUGH-LEGGED HAWK 1
NORTHERN HARRIER 2 imm
BALD EAGLE 1 imm

Other highlights included a NORTHERN SHRIKE on the Ring Dike Trail, and a
SHORT-EARED OWL actively hunting at 3:00 in the afternoon! Signs of the
coming Spring included the BALD EAGLE pair standing in their nest along
McAllister Creek, some resident CANADA GEESE pairing off, and male ducks
bobbing their heads in courtship displays.

That's all for now.
Good Birding
