Hello Tweeters,
I could not resist beeing so nice of weather today,to look for the
Red-shouldered Hawk on Brady Loop Rd.I arrieved there around 3.00 Pm and the
Hawk was already sitting in the trees close to the road where we mostly been
seeing. The sun was so bright that the vision was not the best to see from
the west.So i drove past the trees looking from the opposite which gives
verry good views. The bird seems to feed on some prey and start pulling what
ever it was apart.I was sitting than in my car viewing the hawk for quite
long time.As i approached going closer to get few photos ,the Hawk flew to
onother tree, taking what ever was left of his prey.It seems real strange
seeing the Red-shouldered Hawk twice in Spencer Island where this bird is
verry vocal, this Hawk in Brady seeing it now three times, never heared him
calling or beeing vocal.I watched this Hawk today almost for two
hours, hopefull some of the pictures i took turning out ok.
Birds of interet where:
TUNDRA SWANS 68 seeing together with the group of 4 species of Canada Goose
we had last Sunday
Trumpeter Swans 6 on the north side of Brady Loop
Tundra Swans 52 south of Elma on Hyw 12

Good birding
