Hi Franny (and Tweeters),

Normally I wouldn't respond because you will be deluged with goose i.d.,
however, the goose the man is holding is the image of Lucifer Goose, my
white Chinese goose, a domestic strain derived long ago from the Swan
Goose, Anser cygnoides, of China. I should say almost the image - Lucifer
is now 18+ years old and his feathers aren't so nice as the bird pictured.
Also, he has a 'wattle' under his lower mandible, something I don't see
often on these very domestic geese. Goose evolution is occasionally
fascinating.
