Hi Tweeters and Field Trip Leaders,
Yesterday at Big Ditch, near Stanwood, WA, a Department of Fish and
Wildlife agent began to enforce the on-again, off-again "wildlife
conservation" sticker program. A Seattle group lacking the stickers was
forced to leave the area before they could see the Snowy Owls there.
Also, the West 90 on the Samish Flats has been gated and locked off as
they bulldoze the wooden buildings at the corner. Surprisingly, no attempt
was made to either recycle the barn wood or schedule the demolition until
after the birding season. Most eloquent.
