Mike Denny, from Walla Walla, called Andy Stepniewski to say that he and
Merry Lynne found the Lesser Black-backed Gull again. Mike says they saw
the Lesser Black-backed Gull this morning between 9 and 11 a.m. in a flock
of 200 other gulls and had a long, close look at it as it ate bread and
stale cheese and preened. It was in a new onion field at the "Hussey Street
location", same as last year. On Hwy 12 from the west, about 2 1/2 miles
before (west of) Walla Walla, turn south on Hussey St. . Go just past a
junction with Newell and there is the field, gull, and birdwatchers (maybe).
They expect to be there each morning this week.

If anyone is interested in running down there for a wonderful "life" bird,
e-mail me and I will clarify the directions for you.
