Red-tailed Hawk Nest Survey
Volunteers Needed


Volunteers are needed to survey for active, alternate and non-active red-tailed hawk nests. This survey is part of an investigation of how red-tailed hawks are being affected by urbanization. Volunteers will be given an area to survey and the survey protocol. Volunteers will be asked to attend a short, approximately two-hour training and orientation on survey protocol and red-tailed hawk nest identification. Volunteers will be required to fill out an official Volunteer Registration Form, Time Sheets and Travel Expense Voucher.

Dates Survey is to be Conducted
March 3, 2001 through June 1, 2001
Surveying just on weekends would be fine.
