This split is only recognized by the European version of the AOU and Clements
has apparently accepted it in his list, but the AOU, the organization that
controls what is a species or is not in the Americas has not recognized it.
But you should bank it.

I have no direct knowledge, but if I remember the chatter that went on about
this when it was first split in Europe, about 4-6 months ago, the AOU is not
currently considering this split so it may be a couple of years before we
have it here. My supposition from what I have seen on the lists to which I
am subscribed.
