Hi Tweeters, would someone kindly explain to me what this word means in the
birding sense? As in this sentence:

"This trip will seek out all of the shrub steppe obligates of the area."

So far as I've been able to figure out on my own, w/the help of the
"Birder's Dictionary" and MS Bookshelf, it has to do with being able to
exist only in a certain kind of habitat. Is that right/close??
